Our goal is to do more than we have to by law so you always feel safe working with us.

Here’s an overview of what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how it is protected.

What we collect and why we collect it

  • We collect any information you send to us via our contact form. We offer this form as a convenience to our website users so they can easily ask us questions. If you’re more comfortable using email, you can reach us directly at info@seancemedia.com. If you’re more comfortable using text, you can reach us directly at +1 ‪(856) 438-0298‬. Please note, this is an American phone number and normal texting rates will apply.

  • We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about the technology you use to load our website (e.g., browser version, screen size, computer type, etc.) For example, we may know that an Android mobile phone used Chrome to access the website, but we don’t know that it was your Android phone or who you are. This data is aggregated with all other users on the website so we can compare stats (e.g., more iPhones visited the site this year than Android phones, so we should spend more time testing new features on the latest iPhones.)

How your information is protected

  • We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t promise your traffic will be 100% secure.

  • Our merchant account is Level 1 PCI compliant.

  • We respect Do Not Track (“DNT”) settings in browsers.

  • We don’t sell your personal information.

  • We don’t share your personal information outside the company.

  • The data you provide is only available to the Séance Media staff members completing your project. No one else.

If we need to share your data

  • We’ll only do it with your consent.

  • We will object to improper requests for information about our customers.

  • If pressed to share your data in response to a legal matter, you will be given advance notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited from doing so by law or court order.

Changes to these policies

Séance Media may periodically update this Policy. If possible, we’ll notify you via email about significant changes to the policy.

The last time we had to update this policy was on March 2, 2022.

AI Policy

Policy Brief & Purpose

As a member of The Future Society, Seance Media's founder has shaped key aspects of the artificial intelligence (AI/ML/LLM) laws protecting human rights in the United States and Europe. Because of this, Seance Media is especially committed to the safe use of AI in the execution of our business.

This AI Policy details the best practices we use to ensure compliance with U.S. regulations. It guides the secure and responsible use of AI tools, especially when handling sensitive data and generating artistic images.

Data Privacy

Our business is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data.

All tools used must be aligned with AI, intellectual property, and privacy laws, and follow security best practices such as:

  • Only use AI tools cleared by our founder and compliant with U.S. laws.

  • Remain aligned with our data privacy policy (see above).

  • Do not upload or share confidential data without approval.

  • Do not share AI tool access outside the business without approval.

  • Use tools from reputable sources that meet our standards.

  • Apply security best practices, including the use of strong passwords, updating software, and adhering to data retention and deletion policies.

AI tools may be used to assist with image creation when no suitable stock is available, and text formatting to assist with tasks like checking spelling or grammar, but not for creative writing. All other artwork should be created by humans. We always strive to use photos by photographers and text by human writers, aiming to phase out AI-generated content over time.

Compliance

All employees read and sign this policy before using AI tools. Non-compliance may result in termination and liability for damages.
